Statistics on Bullying
Statistically speaking, 64 percent of children ages 7-16 report that bullying is not a problem, thirteen percent say it may be a problem, and 13 percent of children say it is a problem. Round that into smaller numbers that's roughly 1.5 in 4 children bullied in the United States everyday. The statistics only include children who have taken the survey; most children never say a thing about the bullying they expirienced. They believe no one will do anything and the more bullying happens to them, the more their esteem drops.A child can become clinically depressed by the time they graduate 5th grade.
A bullied child falls academically when they're bullied. They lack the want of going to school, and try to avoid it at all costs.

CYBER BULLYING
Cyber bullying is occuring
more and more in the United states, and all over the world. Girls are known more
to do cyber bullying then guys are. Cyber bullying has to do with calling
someone something on the internet, but not just the internet. Since texting has
become more of a popular thing; cyber bullying has gone mobile. Things like
taunts, rude comments, and taking a video or picture of a certain person and
posting it with edited features are considered bullying. Just like "regular
bullying" cyber bullying has bystanders and people who succumb to peer pressure.
Anything that is considered rude or mean, is bullying. When insulting someone on
the internet, may it be a social networking site, youtube comments, or anywhere
elese, is cyber bullying.
AduLTS get bullied too! Adults bully kids?
Alright, it may sound silly, but kids do bully adults. As adults do bully kids, the basis of what I wrote for bullying applies to both children AND adults. Recent studies show that adults who bully children are people who have such low self estem, that they feel that it is appropriate to pick on anyone weaker. Children who pick on adults ( 5-17, you're STILL a child) Likely feel that they are setting thmeselves as looking mature and able to put up for oneself. Who care's right? She's like 50 and I'm like 13, nothing can go wrong! You just wait....
People who have been bullied are more likely to drop out of High school because they feel less than human. People who have been bullied also have a high likely hood to start doing drugs and alcohol (Cigarettes, weed, heroine..etc,) by the time they reach the legal age for tobacco smoking. Every day 2/4 children start smoking or have their first cigarette, now statistically 1/4 children are bullied that means 1 out of 2/4 children who start smoking or try a cigarette were bullied.

In this section, people asked me to keep their names private.
Anonymous- On my first day of school, I walked in happy and wanted to meet people. I don't remember everything because I was pretty young, but I remember all the stuff people said to me the first day. I said Hi to someone and they told me to shutup for no reason at all. Then on the play ground people were throwing dirt at me and calling me ugly. On the bus going home kids were messing with me calling me "gay" and ugly. That's pretty much all I remember on my first day of school.
Anon- "I was on the bus in the back because I was sitting by some people that I knew outside of school. I was in 1st grade and I was feelin' sexy and free felt like glitter was rainin' me, I was like a shot of pure gold. Then all of sudden there was this kid named jooe, he picked me up and threw me out of my seat. Then yelled that I was a faggot and I should go die"

Ramona- "When I was young, many years ago, we had to wait at the bus stop on the way home I'd have to walk to the bus and wait to get on , but there was this kid that kept making me miss the bus and getting my dress dirty. He didn't stop and I couldn't tell anyone. One day I decided I had had enough of his shenanigans and I bit him inbetween the fingers and made him cry. After that day he never messed with me again, and I was called mad dog, that there makes me mad."
James-" One day I was riding the bus to school, and suddenly this kid just started yelling in my face saying I was a "Fag" and that I was not worth the space I took up. It made me feel really empty inside. Later that day during school I was hanging with my friends and he came and started harrassing me again; all this time my friends did nothing, but there was this kid passing by and he saw it and stood up for me. The bully stopped and the kid and I started hanging out more offen, we're now best friends!"
